First off, thanks for the thanks and love. I'm excited about the dissertation even though I am currently not working in media. (There is a lot of ranting to be had there, but anyway, I will have a master's degree so that means something to me if not practically.)
And I just spent an hour reviving plants and animals from rook attacks in Glitch, good times.
1. If you could go to a concert for any one group or performer past or present, who would you pick?
I keep missing out on Springsteen for one reason or another, and I would have loved to see him with the full E Street Band (rip Big Man). Or Fleetwood Mac on The Dance tour, of course.
2. Where did you meet your husband?
At a pancake party. We'll leave it at that and people can ask wtf if they like.
3. What one film has had the most influence on you?
Lots of them at different times, and I'm going to just limit this to an academic/professional sense rather than a personal one, because we'd be here all day: Silence of the Lambs, O Brother Where Art Thou?, Do the Right Thing, Kill Bill v. 1, Natural Born Killers, Talk to Her (Hable con ella), Jeanne Dielman, Blue (Derek Jarman), It Wasn't Love (Sadie Benning), Terminator 2...
4. What was the favorite class you took in college?
A class on visual culture, which focused on both art history and film history from an artistic perspective through the 20th century.
5. What's the one thing you like most about living in your current place?
The area's nice, with lots of convenient wee shops and a library and a hospital nearby, but at the same time, we're very close to the city centre by train. Also, we have a pretty big flat, which we couldn't do for the price elsewhere in the city in a decent neighbourhood.
