Does anyone want to look over the draft of the vid I'm gifting to
tellitslant? (Don't worry, it's not a secret.)
Star Trek: TNG, Beverly/Deanna mostly, no particular triggers. Lindsey Buckingham on music.

About how long is it, btw? We're tossing together a rough playlist and an approximate time would be v useful.

Also, seriously, someone should make Brannon Braga try to do a slashy vid to his canon, so he can see how damn hetero it is. gawd.

These are the technical requirements set out by the vidshow, btw:
Vids must be submitted in the following format (if you're familiar
with VVC, it's the same) :
MPEG-2 (.m2v) and the audio encoded as a separate wave (.wav) 48 kHz
720x480 resolution
NTSC format, 29.97 framerate
5500-6500 kpbs bitrate (NOT higher)
4:3 (if vid isn't 4:3, it has to be letter boxed to show in 4:3 fine)
We've had some remarks on how we're a UK/Europe con and we still ask
for NTSC. The reason being that it's just easier as people are used to
it and we don't have tech people with us that can get us through the
PAL thing and make sure it works for us. So, the easiest solution is
that. I'm sorry :(
If people aren't familiar with MPEG2 encoding, I strongly encourage
them to use LlamaEnc, which is provided on the vividcon website and
has proved to be very efficient in getting the vids in the format we
need. It letterboxes automatically for instance, which is handy. If
using that, they have to click the "add black video at the end"
This tool only works on Windows so for other OS users, they'll have to
do it "manually" and if they can, add 3 to 5 black seconds to their
vid so that we all have time to applaud or digest the vid before a new
one starts. Not a big deal if they can't. LlamaEnc does it when
clicking the add black video, so be careful not to do it twice though
;)

(Vid's in NTSC anyway because I've never bothered to change the settings from North America on my copy of FCE.)
