Okay, you can now all talk to me about Inception now. Go on, my son.

What I really want to know is how common the technology is in the diegesis of the film and how well it's understood in the culture. For...er...RP and fic purposes, perhaps. In the future.

(Loved the concept and story; like most of Nolan's work, though, it's not overly emotionally resonant, which Matt pointed out to me and I must agree with that analysis.)

Wedding stuff going okay. Stressed and warm though.

You mean more ladies that weren't either innocent sweetness and light or hopelessly femme fatale? Yeah. Pretty much.

I did not interpret Ariadne as 100% "innocent sweetness and light", but other than that, yeah.

Yeah, that's not quite right, but she is very much the blank slate of the innocent corrupted who tries to save the hero from himself, which irritated me.

Hm, I actually really liked Ariadne and thought it was pretty clear that she was at least as interested in saving herself and the others as Cobb, which was probably why I liked her so much -- it was very much not just about "saving him from himself" as about saving everyone else from him, too. But yeah, my original point that it needed more women in general definitely still stands.
