Okay, you can now all talk to me about Inception now. Go on, my son.
What I really want to know is how common the technology is in the diegesis of the film and how well it's understood in the culture. For...er...RP and fic purposes, perhaps. In the future.
(Loved the concept and story; like most of Nolan's work, though, it's not overly emotionally resonant, which Matt pointed out to me and I must agree with that analysis.)
Wedding stuff going okay. Stressed and warm though.

And seriously, not emotionally resonant at all. There was no character work! Mal was the only one who get even an ounce of reaction from anyone I talked to.

Thiiiiissss is... sort of an answer to all your points, and one that I find really interesting. I'm interested on your thoughts on it. :D

The whole metacommentary on film thing is cool, but the rest of it really takes a far too simplistic view--imho, it all being definitely a dream makes things far too easy. I think it's infinitely better to leave it to individual interpretation. Personally, I think the dreamlike nature of the film's construction highlights the very incorporeal and self-defined nature of our own realities. Which, iirc, is ALSO discussed in the film.
