Dec. 8th, 2011 09:12 pmUgh, it's been a day. If you're in Britain, you've probably heard vaguely about the wind sitch here and maybe seen some pretty scary pictures. West and Central Scotland is getting the brunt of it. This is the first time I've been sent home for inclement weather that wasn't snow or extreme cold. It's a bit odd.
It did happen to be a bit fortunate as nearly the whole office was hungover or completely wiped from the Christmas* party last night. Yes, it was on a Wednesday. Yes, I left early because after two rather nasty wasted weekends, I've learned that trying to keep pace with Scots is foolhardy at best, especially when you're a medication lightweight.
But now I've just had a weird day, and my IBS has been flaring up and I just am not in the mood for much internets, including RP stuff. I fail at queering the shit out of steampunk London.
By the way, if you are so inclined, there is a love meme being run by
littlebutfierce. I plan on hitting it up giving love later or tomorrow. Yes.
* Yes, I recognise that in the US, 'happy holidays' is an ineffectual panacea to hide the dominant cultural paradigm, but the Christmas EVERYWHERE thing in Britain still feels so very wrong to me.
