All right, it's a Cheers-style comedy set in a bar...in a fantasy world. A regular cast of oddballs and the long-suffering bartender(s) come together to discuss their lives in [fantasyland], presumably skewering second-world fantasy tropes on occasion. Maybe there's some political satire, too, idk. There's at least one romance, and there's one or two characters the show is ostensibly "about," but everyone gets pretty equal billing. (Cheers, for example, had Sam and Diane for a couple and Sam as something approaching a "main" character.) The writing is sharp and funny, so even though it's made up mostly of bottle episodes, it never feels boring.
...And then Fox cancels it after four episodes, probably, but if you'd prefer, you can imagine it as a runaway hit. o/
