I had similar thoughts about Wicked the musical (& I will say right now I really liked the musical & found the book tedious: a kind of heresy I never thought I'd say!).

I need to read The Secret Feminist Cabal too. It's the last in a stash of books I splurged on post-WisCon (b/c I knew I would've bought them at WisCon anyway, so b/c I saved money by not being able to go to WisCon I could afford the books? Hahahaha).
