Glasgow's not, I'm afraid, just the city system. And they tend to move books out of circulation, I've found! There are some books that I read in 2005, that there were several copies of at that time, which are no longer in circ and were not replaced despite being in print (or in the case of hardcover, repaired/rebound). I find that really disheartening. It's stasis at a certain amount of material rather than increase. I can appreciate why, considering the cuts, but even before those cuts, it still was an issue.
Both the Milwaukee system and the Western/Central Massachusetts system were really good to me, so. idk what the deal is.
